This Sunday, December 5th, the California International Marathon will again be running through Old Fair Oaks Village.
The first to arrive, starting about 7:20, will be the athletes in hand crank wheelchairs moving about 20 MPH!
The most elite runners will start to arrive at about 7:50, with over 9,000 other runners from all over the country passing through for the next four hours.
Make a sign, bring a horn, and join your neighbors to cheer on the runners and show them why Fair Oaks is such a special place to live.
Come early to avoid the road closure and get the best spot to cheer. Many local restaurants will be open for coffee and breakfast to help you stay warm and energized.
As the race winds down, the fun continues with a Vintage Car Show by the Vintage Cruisers Car Club and face painting and crafts for the kids at the FOVEC booth.
Many of our wonderful and unique Village shops will also be open and running holidays specials. Enjoy relaxed, stress-free holiday shopping and support our local small businesses owners.
